Padma Awardee Sabah Pledges Yoga Service to Kuwait and GCC Post Victory

New Delhi [India], April 29 (ANI): Padma Shri awardee Ali Jaber Al-Sabah expressed gratitude to the Indian government for acknowledging her contributions to the yoga community.

Sabah mentioned that she held affection for India and had frequently traveled to the nation.

I am deeply honored to be in Delhi accepting the Padmashri Award. It came as quite a surprise, and I feel extremely privileged because I believe that all my efforts to support the yoga community, particularly in Kuwait "And the GCC recognition was acknowledged, so I am deeply appreciative of that and thankful," she stated.

Sabah informed ANI that following her receipt of the award, she intends to increase her service to both the yoga community and the GCC.

"I would like to thank the government of India and I love India and I come here often. So for me it feels like home. I'm very happy. I'm very grateful. We will serve the yoga community in Kuwait "And the GCC even further, ideally with extensive repercussions," she stated.

Reflecting on her early days in the profession, she mentioned that she acquired knowledge of yoga from both her grandfather and father. It was only after giving birth that she began to practice it herself.

"My introduction to yoga came from my late grandfather, who was not only an avid yogi but also explored various alternative treatments; this interest was shared by my father too, so it has been part of my life all along. Nevertheless, after giving birth to my first child, I delved deeper into yoga and discovered profound physical and mental health advantages. It truly feels like a continuous journey where you remain forever a learner," she stated.

President Droupadi Murmu On Monday unveiled the esteemed Padma Shri prize within the realm of Yoga to Ali Jaber Al-Sabah .
