Kathmandu, June 8 - The family of South Korean model and TV personality Kim Jong Seok confirmed on Friday, June 6, that he had tragically passed away at the young age of 29 during the same week.
As reported by Indiatimes, his funeral took place early that morning at the Maru Park Funeral Home in Hanam. Subsequently, he was interred at Chuncheon Rest Garden and Yanggu Memorial Park.
The reason for Seok's passing has yet to be made public. Without official details, rumors have begun circulating. According to reports from Koreaboo, an incident occurred involving the self-harm of a young man in his twenties in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. Nonetheless, no formal link has been confirmed between Seok and this occurrence.
In response to circulating rumours, Seok's family has urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information. His sister addressed the issue on social media, expressing the family's distress over the speculation and announcing plans to release relevant information to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.
Seok launched his modeling career in 2014 and became well-known after appearing on the 2022 television dating program 'The Skip Dating' from tvN. He remained engaged with social media up until just prior to his death.
